MEET SHON

Shon Jones is a host, author, and speaker who curates engaging conversations about reinvention, opportunity, and the bold decisions people make to build lives they truly love.

Throughout her career, Shon has been drawn to the moments when people decide to change direction—whether in their careers, relationships, identities, or sense of purpose. Her work explores the pivots that shape our lives and the insight, access, and opportunity that often make those pivots possible.

With more than 20 years of experience in education, training, and leadership development, Shon brings a rare combination of lived wisdom and professional expertise to conversations about life transitions and personal evolution. Her background spans the classroom, district leadership, large-scale training initiatives, and nonprofit program development, where she trained and supported adults navigating high-stakes environments and complex challenges.

Along the way, Shon discovered something powerful: most people aren’t struggling because they lack information—they’re struggling because they’ve been operating in survival mode for too long. That realization now anchors her work as a media host and speaker.

Shon is the creator and host of The Pivot Plug Podcast, a conversation-driven platform where she interviews authors, entrepreneurs, creators, and cultural voices about the pivots that changed their lives. Each episode explores not just the story behind the pivot, but the insight, access, and opportunities that helped make it possible.

Known for her quick wit, curiosity, and down-to-earth presence, Shon has a natural ability to create conversations that are both entertaining and insightful. Whether moderating a panel, hosting a live event, or interviewing a guest, she brings humor, thoughtful questions, and an authentic style that puts people at ease while drawing out meaningful stories.

In addition to her media work, Shon is the author of multiple books, including:

Trust Me, We Got This: 9 Steps to Beat Single Parenting and Redefine Your Life and

School Me: How to Help Your Kid Dominate the School Year Without Losing It.

Her books reflect the same thread that runs through all of her work—helping people navigate life with clarity, confidence, and intention.

Whether she’s hosting a conversation, moderating a panel, or speaking on stage, Shon’s mission remains the same: to connect people to the insight, opportunity, and perspective that help them move forward with confidence and live life on their own terms.
